Mauricio Pochettino in line for tasty six-figure double bonus if Tottenham win Premier League title

Mauricio Pochettino will pocket himself a £500,000 bonus if his Tottenham Hotspur side win the Premier League this season, according to The Sun.

Spurs are five points behind leaders Leicester City with four games remaining, and have momentum on their side with four wins from their last five games.

The Sun understands that Pochettino wrote the title-winning clause into his contract when he arrived at White Hart Lane from Southampton two years ago.

The Sun adds that he will also receive £300,000 if Spurs qualify for the Champions League, which could be confirmed with victory over West Bromwich Albion.

That means that Pochettino could be in for a whopping £800,000 pay day if Tottenham pip Leicester to their first title since the double-winning team of 1960-61.

And that might not be the end of it. The Sun reports that the Argentine’s basic £2.5m-a-year salary is under review ahead of a pay rise with his next contract.
