In one of the best FA Cup Semifinals in recent memory, Manchester United starlet Anthony Martial reminded everyone why fans have such a high hopes for him, as the French striker scored the game-winning goal against Everton to send the Red Devils to Wembley for the FA Cup Final.
After Chris Smalling conceded an equalizing own goal at the 75′ mark, it seemed that Everton’s up-tempo attack and high level of urgency would win them the day either in regulation of added time.
But Martial – who recorded an assist earlier in the game to Marouane Fellaini and gave the Toffees fits for most of the game – would not be denied on his last shot as he beat two Everton defenders and smashed the ball past Joel Robles for a lead-stealing goal at the 90’+2 mark.
Minutes later, the referees blew the whistle – securing the win for Man United and arguably the greatest performance of the French striker’s young career.
