Liverpool target proves his love for Reds with team shirt, playing them on FIFA

If Liverpool are in the market for a striker next season, at least one player is trying to jump to the front of the line to get a contract. River Plate forward Lucas Alario has expressed his interest in playing for the Reds if the team are interested in signing him, and revealed that he is actually incredibly fond of the club.

In an interview with Marca [per the Metro], Alario revealed that he owns a Liverpool shirt and loves to play as the Reds in FIFA on his Playstation.

‘Yes, I have a shirt from them,’ Alario said.

‘I do career mode with that team [in FIFA on the PlayStation]. I really like the colour red, I admit.’

Alario has seven goals in 16 games this year for River Plate, but the Argentine forward lacks the kind of experience with a top club that Liverpool will be looking for should they decide to part with one of their valuable strikers.

As of writing the most likely Liverpool striker to get axed would be Christian Benteke, who has not lived up to the big contract he signed this past summer. Whether or not his potential departure would pave the way for Alario to move to Anfield remains to be seen.
