Ideal Harry Kane partner from Ligue 1 wants Tottenham switch

Although Tottenham Hotspur have been just fine with Harry Kane putting the team on his his back this season, even the most diehard Spurs fans will agree that the club are in serious need of a second striker option. One of the club’s top targets has been Marseille ace Michy Batshuayi – and based on recent reports the interest is mutual.

According to The Evening Standard, the Belgian striker would prefer a move to White Hart Lane over a move to West Ham United or Juventus – his two main contenders – if he had his choice. Per the Metro, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hopes to sign Batshuayi before he represents Belgium in Euro 2016, after which he suspects the 22-year-old’s value will skyrocket.

Batshuayi has 24 goals in 59 appearances for Marseille since making his debut for Marseilles in 2014. He is believed to be valued at £25 million by the Ligue 1 outfit and wants to play in the Champions League.
