Man United star visits Rome in hope of £15m summer transfer

Man United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has had a rather underwhelming season at Old Trafford and appears ready to leave England at the end of the year. Where he ends up will be a major issue as the Red Devils are likely going to try and squeeze as much transfer money out of the Belgian midfielder as possible. Luckily, a team of Serie A giants may be willing to indulge them.

According to Tuttomercatoweb [per the Express], Fellaini’s agent Luciano D’Onofrio confirmed that his big-haired client has been in Rome recently and is considering a move to AS Roma. Per the source, the Italian outfit are considering a £15 million transfer for the 28-year-old Fellaini.

“He was probably there (in Rome) on holiday,” D’Onofrio said.

“For the moment I have no other news. So far I’ve had no contact with Roma for him.

“Would that move be acceptable? Yes, Roma is a possibility to consider.”

Fellaini has just 11 starts in 17 total Premier League appearances for Man United this campaign and only one BPL goal. He has, however, proven to be very effective for the club in their FA Cup title chase – scoring a goal in each of the last two FA Cup games against West Ham and Everton respectively.
