Major clubs targeting Manchester City midfield star

Amidst the impending shakeups at Manchester City with Pep Guardiola set to join next summer, one of the top players likely to leave the club will be veteran midfielder Yaya Toure. The 32-year-old Ivory Coast legend has had one of his most disappointing campaigns with the clubs and could be jettisoned at the end of the year in one way or another. But it looks like he’ll have plenty of suitors waiting for him.

According to Gazzetta World via FCInterNews, Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk has identified three massive clubs interested in the former Man City Player of the Year: Real Madrid, PSG and Inter Milan.

“There are many clubs who want him,” Seluk said.

“There’s no problem with the amount of choice he has.

“I think that there are Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and at the same time Inter who tried to get him last year.”

The Inter Milan connection is particularly intriguing for Toure, headed by former Man City manager Roberto Mancini, who recruited the Ivory Coast star to join him at the Etihad in 2010.

Toure is a four-time African Footballer of the Year and was named to the PFA Team of the Year in 2012 and 2014. During the latter season, he scored a career-high 20 goals in the Premier League alone.
