Spanish football expert clears up rumours over Real Madrid star linked with Arsenal

Guillem Balague has revealed that there is zero chance of Real Madrid star Isco moving to Arsenal this summer despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

The Spanish star is seen as an important part of the squad at the Bernabeu, but naturally with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema ahead of him, he has had to show his versatility to impress in other positions but has still been limited.

With 41 appearances in all competitions so far this season, Isco has scored five goals and provided 12 assists, and has played his role in the club getting to the Champions League final as well as continuing to compete for the La Liga title.

In turn, he will be highly valued by Zinedine Zidane, and that has led to Balague ruling out the possibility of a move to the Premier League this summer.

“The chances of Isco to Arsenal: zero, cero, null, zilch, nein, no chance whatsover,” Balague said in a Sky Sports Q&A.

From Real’s point of view, the decision to keep him would make perfect sense. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s desire to add a player of Isco’s quality is promising, but supporters will be expecting more than just merely being linked to these kind of names this summer.

The Gunners have endured another disappointing campaign this year having failed in their bid to land the Premier League title, and so Arsene Wenger will be under significant pressure to strengthen the squad this summer of making another push next year.
