£60m All-Star duo sought by title-deprived Arsenal

Midfielders Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante were vital pieces to Leicester City’s championship puzzle – and now Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger wants to make them a part of his too.

According to the Metro via France Football, Arsenal have already opened talks with the Premier League champions about a possible move for the dynamic midfield duo. Though Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has publicly begged his players to give his team another year, he has said in the past that he will not oppose players who insist on leaving.

The 25-year-old Mahrez is believed to be valued at £40 million and is coming off PFA Team of the Year and PFA Player of the Year honours. Kante reportedly has a £20 million release clause and also earned PFA Team of the Year honours this season.

Mahrez is believed to have already committed his future to Leicester City, but offers from Man United, Liverpool, and even La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are expected to be made for his services this summer.

Kante, however, is considered less firmly rooted at King Power Stadium and would be more easily tempted away if his release clause is met.
