England manager delays Euro 2016 lineup until Monday

After the Football Association called out a fake Euro 2016 lineup earlier this week, the actual England roster now has a semi-official release date: the Monday after the conclusion of the Premier League.

According to the Metro, England manager Roy Hodgson wants to wait until after the final matchday to release the final list due to the possibility of injuries on the last Sunday of club football.

The decision is understandable as all but two of the players on the Three Lions call-up list play in the Premier League. Backup goalkeepers Robert Green (QPR) and Tom Heaton (Burnley) are the only non-BPL players with any recent callups.

England have a trio of friendlies to be played against Turkey, Australia and Portugal before they play Russia to start their Euro 2016 campaign.

The Three Lions have never won the European Championship with their highest finish coming in the Semi-Finals of the 1996 tournament.
