Liverpool receive stern warning from international midfielder ahead of showdown

Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak has issued a warning to Liverpool ahead of the Europa League final.

The Spanish side head into their third consecutive final, having won the last two, and the Polish powerhouse has warned the Reds that they’re gunning to complete a trio of consecutive titles and that the Rojiblancos are hungry for victory.

“I want another title, I want to win,” the midfielder began, speaking to the media—as per AS. “The team is hungry.

“Let’s live this moment with our fans, we will prepare for these matches in the best way possible,” he continued.

“We are well aware that this match allows us to win another title and play in the Champions League,” the international concluded. “It’s our third consecutive final, but we don’t know when we’ll get another chance.”

Sevilla became the first side to secure qualification for the Champions League group stage after seeing off Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in last season’s final and, having missed out on the top four in La Liga, will be aware that this year’s showpiece in Basel will be their best chance of reaching the UCL next year.

However, in their way stand Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, who will surely be confident of their chances after seeing off fancied duo Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal in the quarter-finals and semi-final.

The Merseysiders, like their final opponents, are unable to clinch a spot at Europe’s high table via their league position, and will be dependent on success in the Europa League final in order to return to the UCL.

While Klopp has never achieved success in a continental competition, his Liverpool side’s performances against both BVB and the Yellow Submarine have demonstrated that they have the quality to compete with the very best on the continent.
