Harry Kane and Dele Alli – the deadly combination to win England Euro 2016?
Tottenham Hotspur players made up nearly half of England’s lineup for this evening’s pre-tournament friendly against Turkey, and two linked up beautifully to score inside only two minutes.
A cheeky nutmeg was a staple of Alli’s game during his phenomenal first season at Spurs. This one to provide Kane is as good as any, as he squeezes the ball through the defender’s legs with some devilishly quick feet.
And Kane, the Premier League’s golden boot winner with 25 goals, showed that his confidence has not been dampened by Tottenham’s title collapse, finishing clinically into the bottom corner.

Yes, the officials did not spot that the Spurs striker was a yard or so offside, but do not let that detract from the fact that Kane and Alli are obviously going to win the Euros for England. Obviously.
Roy Hodgson’s lineup at the Etihad Stadium might change before England’s opening Group B game against Russia, but surely this goal will make up his mind about Kane and Alli starting together.
