According to Sun Sport, Man United are prepared to pay Zlatan a £400,000-a-week wage to join them this summer. Per the report, the Swedish scoring machine is expected to sign with the club if/after former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho gets appointed the new manager.
Zlatan set multiple career-highs in his final season with PSG, scoring 38 Ligue 1 goals and 50 total goals – both records for the French giants – despite turning 34 at the start of the season. But with his contract expiring, PSG balked at his salary demands, allowing him to walk away after leading them to 12 titles and becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer.
Man United finished fifth in the Premier League this past season, so they won’t be playing in the Champions League next year. However, they did receive automatic qualification for the Europa League.
