The agent of Antoine Griezmann has given potential suitors hope of signing the Atletico Madrid forward by telling L’Equipe that they are ‘listening to different clubs’.
The Frenchman has emerged as one of the hottest commodities in European football after scoring 32 goals in 53 games for the Champions League finalists this season.
According to the Daily Mail, Atletico have offered a new contract to Griezmann in an attempt to secure his services amid interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
But Griezmann’s representative Eric Olhats has insisted that the coveted 25-year-old is yet to commit his long-term future to Atletico, and is currently playing the field.
“Contrary to certain claims announcing that Antoine at Atletico next season will be the case without fail, nothing has been decided or endorsed,” Olhats told L’Equipe.
“We are currently listening to different clubs who also offer real interest and attraction.”
The Daily Mail adds that Griezmann is contracted to Atletico until 2020, but this is unlikely to deter his admirers, especially if he lights up Euro 2016 on home soil this summer.
The Premier League is poised to be as open as ever next season, and the signing of Griezmann could be title defining for either United or Chelsea. But he will not come cheap.
