Arsenal, Liverpool & Man United in transfer race for £31m winger with great future

Leroy Sane has been one of the biggest breakout stars of the 2015-16 Bundesliga season. The Schalke 04 winger helped the club secure a fifth place finish and lifted the team to the knockout stage of this past year’s Europa League. Now that he has been targeted by a bunch of Premier League clubs though, Sane is unsure of what to do with himself.

According to the Express, Sane has expressed uncertainty over his future despite still being under contract with Schalke 04. He stated that his focus at this time is making the Germany squad ahead of Euro 2016 and intends to focus on his future when it’s over.

“Yes you hear about the reports, but I try not to put much attention on it. I try not to think about it,” Sane said.

“I still have a contract with Schalke and I am happy there.

“The whole season I was focused on just the season and always wanted to help the team. Everything else takes a backseat right now.

“I am here with a goal in mind and that is to be in the final Euro squad.

“I will make a decision after my time with the national team.”

Per the report Manchester City have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race for the Schalke winger, who has reportedly already been the subject of a near-£31 million offer from Man United.

The 20-year-old Sane had a breakout season this year with eight goals and six assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances and earned his first cap for Germany in 2015.
