Nail-biting at Emirates Stadium as Arsenal megastar pushes off contract talks again

Of all the players Arsenal want to sign on the dotted line this summer, Mesut Ozil beats out every other European target by a country mile. The German winger led most of Europe in assisting goals this season and is seen as one of the vital figures in Arsenal’s title ambitions for years to come. Unfortunately, he has given the team cause to be nervous with his recent actions.

According to Mirror Football, Ozil has put off signing a contract extension once again as Euro 2016 approaches. Per the source it’s his second time delaying talks and he is “keeping his options open” amidst interest from other top-tier clubs.

Arsenal reportedly have a £200,000-a-week contract on the table and ready to sign.

Ozil is one of the most desired players in the world and has demonstrated sheer dominance in the midfield at the club and country levels.

He finished the 2015-16 Premier League season with six goals and 19 assists, but was snubbed from the PFA Team of the Year lineup.
