Zlatan Ibrahimovic spoilt for choice despite turning down Premier League outfit

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future is a hot topic of discussion this summer, with Manchester United and AC Milan seemingly the top two choices.

The 34-year-old is currently on international duty as he prepares for Euro 2016 with Sweden, but that hasn’t stopped speculation continuing to link with him various moves around the world.

Having remained coy in a press conference on Thursday, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who will see his contract with the Ligue 1 giants expire next month, continues to enjoy the rumours surrounding his future.

Nevertheless, he will eventually have to make his decision public, and according to Sky Sport Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio, it comes down to two choices.

Ibrahimovic has already reportedly turned down an ambitious offer from Tottenham as he wasn’t convinced that it was the right move for him, while lucrative moves to the likes of China, MLS and Dubai are seemingly not on his mind at this stage of his career.

Having proven that he is still more than capable of delivering at the top level, it appears as though United and a return to Milan are on his immediate agenda.

A reunion with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford would seem tempting, and that is seemingly the most likely ending to this transfer saga.

However, although there has yet to be any real developments in Milan’s chase of his signature, his love for the club and the city coupled with their takeover talks with a Chinese consortium are ensuring that they remain in the race.

If the Rossoneri can prove to Ibrahimovic that they have an ambitious project in place, one that will ensure he can continue to compete for major honours in the final few years of his playing career, then perhaps a return to Serie A isn’t entirely out of the question.

What is certain at this stage is that Ibrahimovic isn’t short of options, and he will continue to enjoy keeping us waiting and have the media talking before eventually making it publicly known what his next move will be.
