Manchester United confident that striking superstar will follow Mourinho to Old Trafford – insiders

Manchester United are understood to be increasingly confident that Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic will soon commit to the Red Devils.

The 34-year-old forward—who was released by Paris Saint-Germain at the season’s end—is currently a free agent and is set to have no shortage of admirers.

The hitman may be past his prime, but having scored an astonishing 38 goals in just 31 Ligue 1 outings last term, he remains a lethal prospect, and could surely add both experience and star power to the United forward line.

The club have recently added both with the acquisition of coach Jose Mourinho, who replaces Louis van Gaal following the latter’s dismissal earlier this week, only days after winning the FA Cup with a victory over Crystal Palace in the final.

Mourinho was appointed on Friday morning following protracted negotiations, and insiders at the club are confident—as reported by the Daily Mail—that Ibrahimovic will arrive at Old Trafford hot on the heels of the Portuguese coach, despite his hefty wage demands.
