Reports in Spain claim that Barcelona are plotting a £26m Juan Mata bid.
Mundo Deportivo add that the Manchester United midfielder would welcome such a move.
However, Mata to Barcelona remains a long-shot judging by these odds – taken from skyBET at 2pm today.
Barca are behind Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and even Arsenal in the betting for who will sign Mata this summer, while the most likely outcome seems to be that the player will remain at Old Trafford.
Despite what these odds suggest, it is widely thought that Mata will leave United following the arrival of new manager Jose Mourinho, who did not hold the 28-year-old in high regard during their time together at Chelsea.
