Marcus Rashford has officially put pen to paper on a new Manchester United contract that ties him to the club until June 2020.

The 18-year-old has been rewarded for a fine maiden season in the Red Devils first team.

Having made his debut in February, Rashford went on to score eight goals in 18 appearances.

To top it all off, he then went and bagged in his first ever senior England game.

Rashford was incredible value for money, as his previous weekly wage was just £1,500.

The new Rashford wage is £25,000 – a 1,567% increase.

However, he is still paid more than 10 times less than Wayne Rooney, who is now behind him in the striking pecking order for club and country.

As mentioned, Rashford scored eight in 18 for United last season, giving him a strike-rate of 44.44%.

Meanwhile, Rooney’s 15 goals in 41 games only gave him a 36.58% strike-rate.

And Rooney is on £260,000 a week.
