Chelsea loan flop unwanted by former club

Chelsea loanee Alexandre Pato did little in his time at Stamford Bridge to show teams in his native Brazil that he still has enough left in the tank. With Pato set to return to Brazil, he’s in for a rude awakening as one of his favorite teams won’t take him back at his current valuation.

According to Squawka News, Pato’s former club Sao Paulo – who he played for on loan from Corinthians from 2014 to 2015, will not take him back unless their Brazilian rivals lower their asking price.

Pato made just two Premier League appearances for Chelsea this past year, scoring a goal in his lone start for the club but otherwise failing to earn any playing time in the half-year he spent after making a January loan move to the club.

During his two seasons with Sao Paulo, Pato scored 19 goals in two seasons for the club. In 2015 he set a career-high with 26 goals in 56 appearances for the Brazilian giants.
