Inter Milan confirm interest in Man City star, won’t move until ownership change

Amidst interest from high-paying clubs, midfielder Yaya Toure is determined to make his new home at Inter Milan next year, but may have to wait a while before a deal can actually be reached.

According to The Sun, Toure has received interest from Inter Milan and is poised for a reunion with former Man City manager Roberto Mancini. However, the club reportedly will not make a formal offer for the Ivory Coast star until after their ownership issues are resolved.

Toure set career-highs in his six-year stint with Man City, including an incredible 20-goal season in the 2013-14 season en route to Premier League and League Cup honours.

Ironically, the same manager who sold Toure to Man City in 2010 – Pep Guardiola – will be the same one to sell him once again. In a recent interview, Toure revealed that he had an icy relationship – if it could even be called that – with Guardiola and rarely spoke to the former Barcelona boss.

“Whenever I asked him something, he always gave strange answers. He pretty much ignored me until City’s offer came in.

“That’s why I eventually opted to leave. I didn’t speak to Guardiola for a year. If he had talked to me, I would have stayed at Barcelona.

“I did not want to go and wanted to end my career at Barcelona. However, he had no faith in me.”

Suffice it to say, Toure does not seem too keen on a reunion with Pep.
