Chelsea star tells Antonio Conte he wants to leave for Manchester United in blockbuster transfer

Nemanja Matic has reportedly told new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte that he wants to leave for Manchester United this summer.

According to The Sun, former Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with the defensive midfielder after being appointed at Old Trafford.

The Sun adds that Matic was only one of two players, alongside captain John Terry, who had a decent relationship with the Special One when he was sacked by Chelsea in December.

But the Serbian nevertheless let Mourinho down with his poor performances last term. He was a shadow of the player who made the 2014-15 PFA Team of the Year as Chelsea won the Premier League title.

However, Mourinho remains a big fan of the 27-year-old and allegedly wants to sign him again, having brought him back to Stamford Bridge from Benfica in 2014.

Matic may get his wish, because The Mirror claims that Conte wants to pair Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante and Roma’s Radja Nainggolan in his midfield next season.
