Between riding the bench for the whole game and watching his England teammates give up a late equalizer against Russia, Leicester City and Three Lions striker Jamie Vardy has a day worth forgetting. Unfortunately for the Premier League MVP, his wife Rebekah fared no better in the city of Marseille after being caught up in the fan violence in the streets.
Taking to Twitter after the game, Vardy’s spouse called her experience in France among the worst experiences of her life. Rebekah Vardy claimed that she was teargassed, while people were “caged and treated like animals.”
That has to be up there with the worst experience EVER at an away game! Teargassed for no reason, caged and treated like animals! Shocking!

There were multiple reports of teargassing by law enforcement to quell fan violence after bloody fights broke out between England and Russia fans.
Images have revealed what appeared to be serious injuries suffered by many in the streets of Marseille, with multiple arrests and people hospitalized.
The England and Russia match finished in a 1-1 draw.
