Northern Ireland are quite possibly the worst team at Euro 2016.
And Michael O’Neill’s men have been battered by Poland in the first half of their Group C opener.
Somehow it’s still 0-0 at half time, but Poland have had 66% of possession and registered 10 attempts at goal.
Meanwhile, N. Ireland have had a grand total of zero shots.
In fact, they have barely entered the Polish half.
Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny may as well have stayed at home.

Or perhaps the Arsenal stopper could have called upon this 2D cardboard cutout of himself to fill in?

Szczesny’s girlfriend Marina Luczenko posted the below photo to Instagram two hours before kick-off, adding the caption: “Do boju POLSKO!!!Trzymam kciuki. Kto dzi? b?dzie kibicowa? i gdzie?”
Marina’s message roughly translates to: “Do battle POLISH!!! Fingers crossed. Who today will be cheering and where?”
It’s definitely been a battle so far. And it is a battle that will surely be lost by the British underdogs if Poland are allowed to continue to monopolise possession and chances in the second period.
