Man City fan favourite interested in Inter Milan move as Guardiola targets Arsenal ace

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has become keenly aware that new manager Pep Guardiola wants to get rid of him, and he’s planning an exit strategy of his own while he still can.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Zabaleta and his agent Federico Pastorello have seen the writing on the wall amidst Man City’s interest in Arsenal superstar Hector Bellerin.

As a result, the 31-year-old Argentine is listening to other offers – particularly from Serie A giants Inter Milan.

“Zabaleta has another year’s deal at Manchester City,” Pastorello said, per Telelombardia. “I understand Pep Guardiola has been confirmed, but the opportunities in the market are endless.

“Should there be other opportunities, we will evaluate.”

Zabaleta had his worst year in over a decade of football, making just 12 league appearances and 21 total appearances for Man City in the 2015-16 campaign – both his fewest since his debut season with San Lorenzo in 2002.
