Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has revealed that he was playing as Lyon, not Chelsea, when spotted on Football Manager earlier this week.
The French FA released a behind-the-scenes video of the squad as they continue their journey at Euro 2016 this summer, with Griezmann shown on his laptop playing the popular simulation game.
Keen-eyed Chelsea fans believed that they spotted him playing as them, which in turn naturally led to suggestions that the Atleti star was desperate for a move to Stamford Bridge given his love for the Premier League outfit.
However, he has moved to clear up the situation, as he revealed that was he in fact playing as Lyon and dismissed talk about him moving Chelsea.
“People talk a lot about me and Chelsea! So I want to say, I play with Lyon on FM !”
Guess that rules out a move to Stamford Bridge this summer then, and maybe he’s after a move to Lyon?!
Whatever his club future holds, after bouncing back from a disappointing opening game with Les Bleus, Griezmann will hope to add to his goal against Albania as the hosts wrap up the group stage against Switzerland on Sunday night knowing that their place in the last-16 is already safe.
