Borussia Dortmund have been adamant about keeping star winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan under wraps, but have yet to offer the 27-year-old a worthwhile contract. With Manchester United interested, the Dortmund superstar is eager to make a move – even if it will take a little extra convincing.
According to the Express via BBC, Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola is still hopeful he can secure a move to Man United for the Armenian superstar.
“It would be a sin to stop talking,” Raiola said.
“I am a positive guy. If I wasn’t confident of reaching some kind of conclusion, I wouldn’t try.
“I am very proud Manchester United want him and the talks are being held in a good atmosphere, but at the moment Dortmund are still saying no.”
Mkhitaryan scored 11 league goals this past season and led Bundesliga in assists with 15.
Dortmund have already lost star players Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan, and have been trying to tie down their remaining stars like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with massive transfer fees.
