Earlier this month it was reported by talkSPORT that Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG were interested in signing Neymar and that the Barcelona star was available for €200.
It is now being claimed by Mundo Deportivo that the 24-year-old Brazilian is likely to sign a new contract at the Nou Camp in the coming weeks.
The Spanish publication report that the new deal will include a €230m release clause, which will see Barca’s Neymar transfer value rise by €30m.
Barca are seemingly very keen to keep hold of Neymar and one suspects that €230 – £187m – would prove too much for Man United.
New United manager Jose Mourinho was given £200m to spend on transfers this summer, according to The Mirror.
And, considering the Red Devils have already took a chunk out of Mourinho’s budget splashing out on Eric Bailly from Villarreal, Neymar’s increased valuation will probably price United out of what would – even with his previous buyout clause – have to be a world-record move.
