Juventus/France midfielder Paul Pogba and Arsenal/Germany winger Mesut Ozil have been opponents far more often than comrades, but when charity is concerned they set their differences aside.

The two superstars have teamed up with the BigShoe11 charity and each paid for the life-saving surgeries for 11 African children.

Both players took to social media to promote their sponsorship of the campaign.

According to FOX Sports, all 22 surgeries sponsored by Pogba and Ozil have been successful.

In addition to Pogba and Ozil, the charity are hoping to reach 11 total sponsors for 11 children each – which with luck will come out to at least nine more football stars contributing to 99 more life-saving operations for children.
