When a look says a thousand words!

Daniel Sturridge is an enigma, sure.

But ITV Sport reporter Gabriel Clarke has perhaps gone a bit far in his attempts to understand the Liverpool star.

Midway through a four-minute video which was posted on one of ITV’s official Twitter accounts, Sturridge intimates that his challenges become “mental” as injury issues caused people to doubt him.

Sturridge, who is expected to start for the Three Lions in Monday’s last-16 clash with Iceland at Euro 2016 according to The Times, is then asked if his career and sanity were in jeopardy.

With a stunned look on his face, Sturridge responds to the first question with a defiant: “My career? Oh, hell no!”

On the subject of his sanity, the 26-year-old adds: “No. I’ve got too many beautiful and wonderful family members and a lady. I ain’t got no worries about outside of my craft.”

In fairness, Sturridge dealt with Clarke’s uncomfortable questions very impressively, putting him in his place on more than one occasion.
