A deal between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund appears to be shaping up for winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

According to Squawka News and its source Raphael Honigstein, Dortmund have sent an official to Manchester ahead of the impending transfer move for the Armenian winger.

Mkhitaryan was the best chance-creator on the team, setting up 82 times – which per Squawka was almost double what any other player on the team created. He led Bundesliga with 15 assists last season, scoring 11 goals on his own in the process as Dortmund secured a second-place finish in the German league. He also earned Man of the Match honours 11 times.

Man United made their first summer signing earlier this month with a £31 million transfer deal for Eric Bailly [Squawka]. Per the source, Man United manager Jose Mourinho intends to increase his attacking options and wants the Armenian star to be one of his first acquisitions.

In three seasons at Borussia Dortmund, Mkhitaryan made 88 Bundesliga appearances and scored 23 goals.
