Brazilian striker Givanildo Vieira de Sousa, better known as Hulk, is primed to be made one of the richest players in the world when he completes his move from Zenit to Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai SIGP.

According to Sun Sport, Hulk will pocket a weekly wage of £320,000 with Shanghai – making him the ninth-highest paid player in world football, and will earn more than Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez.

Per the source, Shanghai submitted a £45.75 million transfer bid to Zenit Saint Petersburg, which the Russian giants accepted this week and the 29-year-old striker has since flown to China for a medical.

Hulk joined Zenit for £33 million in a 2012 move from FC Porto. He has scored double-digit goals in each of his last three seasons with the Russian Premier League outfit and led the team to a league title in 2015.

The Brazilian striker is the latest big-name player to make a move to the high-spending Chinese Super League, joining the likes of Jackson Martinez, Ezequiel Lavezzi, Eran Zahavi and Ramires.
