Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that he will be signing for Manchester United, with his official unveiling likely on Friday.

The Swedish international saw his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expire on Thursday, which in turn has allowed him to finally move on and reveal his next move.

Coupled with Sweden’s elimination from Euro 2016 last week, the obstacles were slowly but surely removed and after months of speculation, the 34-year-old will now be Manchester bound ahead of next season.

Ibrahimovic scored 50 goals in 51 appearances in all competitions for PSG last season, which in turn proved that he still has plenty left in the tank moving forward.

However, he will still have plenty to prove to his critics having now opted to move to the Premier League, where he will certainly be tested at a high level.

Meanwhile, it will be another boost for Jose Mourinho as he continues to stamp his mark at Old Trafford, while the pair have now secured a reunion after their successful stint together at Inter.

Whether or not Ibrahimovic can help inspire United back to the top of the Premier League next season remains to be seen, but his arrival will certainly add flair, excitement and a sense of belief within the squad and amongst the supporters that they can do something special next season.

“Time to let the world know. My next destination is Manchester United,” the post simply noted.
