Nigerian international set for Leicester City medical on Wednesday

Nigerian international Ahmed Musa will undergo a medical at Leicester City before finalising his deal with the Premier League champions, his agent Tony Harris revealed.

“Everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday,” Harris told the BBC.

The BBC report claims that the CSKA striker turned down fellow Premier League rivals Southampton, Everton and West Ham to join Leicester.

Musa is reported to be keen on making the move, according to ESPN, and it is also claimed that Leicester have been in talks with him since last January.

“They have been talking since January, but it didn’t happen,” he said. “Now, I’m just waiting for them to finish. If they agree, why not? I’ll be happy to join.”

The Nigerian international striker scored 54 times in 168 appearances for the Russian giants since joining back in 2013.

The 23-year-old scored 13 times in 30 games for CSKA in the Russian league last season.

Musa has scored 11 times for Nigeria in 58 international appearances for the Super Eagles since making his debut for the club in 2010.

Leicester City won the Premier League title for the first time in club history last season and will now compete in the Champions League for the first times.
