Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that Borussia Dortmund summer signing Emre Mor has impressed him over Euro 2016 in an interview with Turkish Super Lig broadcaster Lig Tv.

Wenger highlighted Mor as being an exciting young player who caught his eye in the games he appeared in for Turkey over the tournament.

“I really liked Emre Mor for Turkey I think he brings freshness and excitement to the the team,” Wenger said.

Mor made a brief appearance in the 1-0 defeat against Croatia but really made a name for himself when he was given his first start against the Czech Republic.

The 18-year-old became the youngest player to provide an assist in the summer tournament when he setup Burak Yilmaz with the opening goal in Turkey’s 2-0 victory.

Mor joined Dortmund on a five-year deal a few days before the start of Euro 2016.

Wenger revealed that he believes that Dortmund have made an exciting signing and that the Bundesliga giants are an opportunity for Mor to develop.

“It looks like Dortmund have signed a very exciting young player and this is a huge opportunity for Emre Mor as it is a club that works well with youngsters,” he added.

Wenger has now praised Mor twice within the space of a month. The Arsenal boss also had this to say about the 18-year-old a fortnight ago.
