Exclusive: Besiktas star passes West Ham medical

The Turkish international star Gokhan Tore has moved a step closer to completing his move to West Ham United.

Sources close to the player have told Caught Offside’s Eren Sarigul that the 24-year-old has passed his West Ham medical. Tore is expected to put pen-to-paper on a one year loan deal with an option for West Ham to buy him out later today.

The Hammers had a bid for Tore rejected last month according to SkySports. The 24-year-old has been a long-term target for West Ham manager Slaven Bilic who worked with him at Besiktas.

The Turkish intentional will become the first player from Besiktas to join Slaven Bilic at the Hammers since he left the Black Eagles last summer.

Tore excelled at Besiktas under the stewardship of Bilic and has actually played longer under his command – two seasons – than any other current West Ham player. The former Chelsea player provided nine assists and scored six goals in 35 appearances for Besiktas in all competitions last season.
