Juventus boss says Arsenal superstar not for sale

With 29 league goals and 42 total goals in his first two seasons with Arsenal, the club would be understandably hesitant to let the Chilean superstar leave for anything less than a huge offer. But if one of the potential buyers for Sanchez is correct, the Gunners aren’t even making him available for sale.

According to the Metro, Juventus director Beppe Marotta revealed that Arsenal are refusing to sell Sanchez at any price – despite previously having been told he was available if a €40 million bid was made.

‘Arsenal told us Alexis Sanchez is not on the market,’ Marotta said.

‘Sanchez is a great player, but Arsenal told us he is not on the market.

‘We had asked for the player’s price-tag and Arsenal valued him at €40m, a sum that we considered reasonable.

‘However, once we replied to their demand, the English club let us know that he was not for sale.’

Sanchez has quickly become a fan favorite at Arsenal since making the switch from Barcelona in 2014. After scoring 16 league goals and 25 total goals in his first season with the club, he finished the 2015-16 season with 13 goals in the Premier League and 17 in all competitions.

He then went to the United States with Chile in the Copa America Centenario tournament and scored three goals in six starts en route to a title win over Lionel Messi and Argentina.
