Manchester City are eager to bring Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sane into the fold, but are hopeful that they can get him sooner rather than later. As a result, they are setting a soft deadline to sign Sane.
According to the Metro, Man City are going to try and seal a deal for Sane within the next two weeks – before they start their pre-season tour in China. Per the source, Man City and Bayern Munich are considering a £40 million transfer for the 20-year-old starlet.
Sane had a breakout season for Schalke 04 this past year, scoring eight goals and six assists in 33 Bundesliga appearances. He was featured in Germany’s Euro 2016 side, but made just one appearance as a late substitute the 2-0 loss to France.
Man City have already completed the signing of four players this summer, bringing Ilkay Gundogan, Nolito, Aaron Mooy and Oleksandr Zinchenko into the fold for new manager Pep Guardiola.
