Agent for Juventus megastar not afraid to reject Man United offer

If Manchester United want to bring Juventus megastar Paul Pogba to Old Trafford, they will have to do a significant amount of convincing because the French star’s agent is not afraid to slam the door shut on a deal.

According to Sun Sport, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola stated this week that the 23-year-old French midfielder is happy with Juventus, and that the Red Devils are not the only team to have made an offer.

“Juve don’t want to get rid of Pogba – they want him to stay for a long time and they want to renew his contract,” Raiola said.

“And only if he wants to leave we will sit down and talk about it. I can’t exclude anything though, not even that he will be sold to another club.

“The transfer market is open for a long time – it closes in September. Between Raiola and all the clubs in the world there is a line open, not only with Manchester United.

“I don’t have a special relationship with United. Last year there was a big approach from Chelsea but he decided to stay. For this year, we don’t know yet.”

Per the source, Manchester United are willing to shatter the world transfer record to bring the former Golden Boy award winner into the fold. Real Madrid broke the record in 2013 to acquire Gareth Bale from Tottenham Hotspur, while Manchester United broke the Premier League transfer record the following year for Angel Di Maria.

Pogba finished the 2015-16 campaign for Juventus with eight goals and a Serie A leading 12 assists after his fourth year with the club en route to yet another league title with the team.
