West Ham join Man Utd in race for £35m French international star

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has attracted interest from across the Premier League and West Ham have become the latest club to join the race according to the Express.

The report claims that the France international star wants to leave the Magpies over the summer in pursuit of Premier League football.

Newcastle were relegated to the Championship last season and he does not want to play second-tier football next season.

United reportedly want £35 million for their star midfielder according to The Sun and Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham have all been linked.

Liverpool are reportedly prepared to offer £18 million for Sissoko but Newcastle are not expected to accept the offer.

The 26-year-old midfielder had an impressive European Championships and Newcastle owner Mike Ashley reportedly wants to cash in.

Sissoko was widely praised for his display in the Euro 2016 final against Portugal on Sunday making driving forward runs and providing France’s biggest attacking threat.

The France international set up seven goals and found the back of the net once for Newcastle in the Premier League this past season.
