Agent & WAG of 57-goal Serie A striker claims contact from Arsenal & Tottenham

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in signing Mauro Icardi, according to the agent and wife of the Inter Milan striker.

The Nerazzurri captain is reportedly on the radar of several European heavyweights as he goes through a contract and pay dispute with the Serie A giants.

And Wanda Nara has claimed that there are big suitors for her husband if Inter do not keep their financial promises, claiming that the North London rivals have both made contact.

“We want to stay in Milan. People say I am a mercenary, but I am not,” she told Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, via Sky Sports.

“[Inter] have to say the truth. They can’t say Icardi is not for sale and then talk to other clubs. I’ve asked for a renewal because the club had promised me a renewal.

“Last year we accepted their conditions, which mean a lower salary, the sale of the 50 per cent of Mauro’s economic rights and there is no release clause on his contract.

“[Inter] have to keep their promises. There are many offers, but I do not negotiate with other clubs. I only talk about Mauro’s contract, that’s my role, not doing negotiations.

“Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Arsenal have made contact. Napoli and Roma are also interested now.”

Spurs may well have been in contact, but might have cooled their interest in the 23-year-old striker, who has scored 57 goals in 122 Serie A games for Inter and Sampdoria, after signing Vincent Janssen.

The Gunners too may well have Icardi in mind as they search for a striker to fire them to the title, but Sky Sports understands that his Argentine compatriot Gonzalo Higuain is also an Arsenal target.

Or, Nara could simply be claiming interest to force Inter into paying up.
