Man City eye £7m Eredivisie superstar to challenge Joe Hart

It’s no big secret that Pep Guardiola is looking to insert his own players into every different position for Manchester City. But his latest move for a young goalkeeper with plenty of upside could spell the end for Joe Hart.

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City are considering a move for PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet, who is rated at £7 million.

The club recorded 13 clean sheets in Eredivisie this past year, with Zoet in goal for all of them. From February 7th against FC Utrecht through March 5th against NEC Nijmegen, Zoet did not allow a goal through five straight games.

Despite finishing in the top five in clean sheets this past year, Hart had some hiccups in the Premier League, allowing four goals in a game on several occasions.

Hart’s struggles leaked into Euro 2016, when he allowed two goals to Iceland in the knockout round that proved too much for England to overcome.
