The Turkish Super league giants Galatasaray are unwilling to match Liverpool’s €3 million valuation for Lucas Leiva.

Sources close to the Turkish club have told Caught-Offsides’s Eren Sarigul that Galatasaray have set aside €2 million for Lucas and are currently in negotiations with Liverpool.

The Lions initially were looking to sign Lucas on a year long loan however, Liverpool are unwilling to loan out the Brazil international with just a year remaining on his contract.

Lucas came close to leaving Liverpool at the beginning of last season but was kept on following a long term injury to Jordan Henderson.

Galatasaray’s Istanbul rivals Besiktas have also been linked with Leiva according to the Mirror. The daily tabloid claims that Lucas may be on the verge of an exit from Liverpool as part of head coach Jurgen Klopp’s overhaul of the squad this summer.

Lucas made 40 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season.
