Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been left out of the squad travelling to China which has added fuel to rumours that he would be set for a summer exit.

The latest developments follow a report in the Daily Record which claims that newly appointed United boss Jose Mourinho is set to offload Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Juan Mata over the summer transfer window.

However, Schweinsteiger did get married recently so he may have been dropped due to being on honeymoon. Additionally he could also have been rested following his Euro 2016 campaign with Germany.

Besiktas are reported to in talks with the Red Devils over the transfer of Schweinsteiger according to the Turkish Super Lig broadcaster LigTV.

The Black Eagles have held talks with the Premier League giants with a view to loaning the 31-year-old on a season-long loan.
