Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been put on alert after the France international star Moussa Sissoko confirmed that he wants to leave Newcastle and return to the Premier League.

The Sun newspaper states that Sissoko wants out at Newcastle after they were relegated last season.

“My priority is to stay in England even if I’m not against going to search for a new challenge elsewhere,” Sissoko was quoted as saying by the Sun.

“I particularly want to play with big players and in top-level matches.”

The report goes onto say that interest in the 26-year-old has increased since his immersive performances during Euro 2016. Sissoko had one of the finest performances of his career during the Euro 2016 final earlier this month.

Another report from The Sun claims that Newcastle have set a £35 million price tag on their star midfielder.

Sissoko provided seven assists and scored one goal for Newcastle in the Premier League this past year, but the Toons were unable to avoid the drop into the Championship division.
