Liverpool officially confirmed the signing of Georginio Wijnaldum on Friday, and the Dutchman couldn’t look any happier with the move.
Despite impressing for Newcastle United last season, the former PSV star couldn’t prevent the Magpies from dropping down to the Championship.
Having now left for a new challenge on Merseyside, the Dutch international is undoubtedly relishing the opportunity to prove his worth as part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad at Anfield this coming season.
The 25-year-old scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 40 appearances in all competitions last season, and as seen in the video below, he is keen to continue his impressive goalscoring exploits to play an influential role in Klopp’s continued success.
Whether or not he is able to remains to be seen, but the excitement and desire is evidently there from Wijnaldum as he looks forward to linking up with his new teammates in the coming days.
