Galatasaray are reported to have made a €3 million bid for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva according to the Aksam newspaper.

The report claims that the Reds have accepted the offer and that Galatasaray are now in talks with the Brazilian midfielder.

Per the source, Galatasaray have offered Lucas €2.5 million per-season on a three year deal and talks are reported to be going well.

The report states that the Lions have not been put off by Lucas’ latest hamstring injury that he picked up during pre-season training.

The Liverpool Echo have reported that Lucas could be out for a month after suffering a hamstring strain.

Lucas is currently the longest serving member of the Liverpool squad and if he were to part ways with the Reds it would end a nine year spell at Anfield.

Galatasaray struggled in the league last season but still managed to win the Turkish Cup. The Lions will not however, be able to play Champions League football due to serving a one-year European competition ban for breaching FFP regulations.
