Jose Mourinho is expected to be busy in the next fortnight with the latest Manchester United transfer news suggesting plenty of activity is in the offing.
The Portuguese tactician has already brought in Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, but all eyes remain on Paul Pogba to determine whether or not he’ll complete his return to Old Trafford this summer.
Here is the latest United transfer news including both comings and goings:
Paul Pogba closing in on deal to return to Red Devils
According to The Daily Mail, Pogba completed his medical on Friday and was set to complete his move to Old Trafford on the same day with a four-year contract of £290,000-a-week being touted.
However, as noted below, it doesn’t appear as though a medical has taken place yet and a deal has yet to be fully finalised. The wait goes on for the Frenchman’s official announcement…
United still don’t officially have a deal with Juventus for Pogba so he hasn’t had a medical yet. Sounds like it’s getting close though.

Doubts over Timothy Fosu-Mensah’s future at United
Jose Mourinho will axe nine players this summer, and potentially included in that list is the talented defender.
It has been met with a bad response from United fans who want to see him stay, but it remains to be seen what changes are made to the squad ahead of Mourinho’s first season in charge.
Klopp hits out at United’s spending
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been a busy man this summer, but he isn’t a fan of the idea of splashing out such substantial money such as £100m on one player as he continues to strengthen his squad at Anfield.
“The day that this is football, I’m not in a job any more, because the game is about playing together.
“Other clubs can go out and spend more money and collect top players. I want to do it differently. I would even do it differently if I could spend that money.”
Payet linked with shock move to Old Trafford
According to France Football, United are lining up a shock move for the West Ham United star, although they are expected to face competition from Inter Milan.
It’s claimed that the French international could command a fee in the region of £50m, but much still depends on whether or not the Red Devils sign Pogba.
Schweinsteiger leading name in United cull
According to The Times, United are set to get rid of nine players this summer, and that includes Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The German ace called time on his international career on Friday, but it’s his Old Trafford career that could be coming to an end too.
