Jurgen Klopp says “wonderful” teenager’s future is “100% at Liverpool” as Reds boss considers sanctioning move this summer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp clearly expects 19-year-old winger Sheyi Ojo to have a fine career at Anfield.

However, Ojo’s immediate future could be away from Liverpool, with Klopp reportedly considering the possibility of allowing him to leave on loan this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Klopp remains unsure on whether or not to loan Ojo out again, following the teenager’s previous spells at Wigan Athletic and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

“I don’t know. We will have to see,” Klopp is quoted as saying by Sky.

“Sheyi is a wonderful player that’s for sure and his future is 100 per cent at Liverpool. We don’t have to make decisions so early.

“We have time and we have to use the time. We have had some injuries. We need to make the boys as fit as possible.”

Ojo’s first loan spell saw him play 11 Championship games for Wigan between February and April in 2015.

He didn’t score for the Latics, but he then netted three times for Wolves during the first half of last season, before returning to Anfield.

After making his Liverpool debut in January, Ojo has gone on to feature in 11 senior games for the Merseyside outfit, making five Premier League starts in the process.

Ojo came off the bench in last night’s friendly win over AC Milan, setting up Roberto Firmino for Liverpool’s second goal in a 2-0 victory over the Serie A giants.
