(Video) Manchester United star causes havoc and gets seal of approval from Zlatan Ibrahimovic as he fights for first-team spot

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford impressed against Galatasaray in a pre-season friendly on Saturday, so much so Zlatan Ibrahimovic was left speechless.

The Swede stole the headlines after scoring within minutes of his debut with a beautiful overhead kick, and he will be pleased to start his bid to be fit for the Premier League kick off.

Having taken his place on the bench for the second half though, he sat back and enjoyed what he saw from Rashford, as the 18-year-old raced through the Galatasaray defence before being brought down to earn his side a penalty.

The England international made a stunning impact last season and earned himself a call up to Roy Hodgson’s squad for Euro 2016 in a memorable few months for him.

However, with the arrivals of Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan this summer, coupled with Jose Mourinho’s plan to use Wayne Rooney further up the field, the youngster could find himself crowded out of the first-team and relegated to the bench this season.

He didn’t do his bid to stay in the starting line-up any harm on Saturday though, as based on Ibrahimovic’s reaction below, he’s done enough to impress the 34-year-old who would undoubtedly relish having Rashford’s speed and ability to run down the channels at his disposal.

Now it remains to be seen whether or not Mourinho feels the same way.
